Mörel is situated at an altitude of 768 meters, 8 km from the city of Brig. From here, you can access the world-famous Aletsch, with two cable cars taking visitors from Mörel to the Riederalp/Aletsch Arena. Both the valley stations and the MGB train station are in approximately 10-minute walking distance. Chalet Schaefli has a private parking lot with space for 2 cars located about 50 meters from the house.
Aletsch Arena
Aletsch Arena has UNESCO World Heritage status and offers a hiking paradise of 300 km with well-maintained, safe hiking trails and regular views of the largest glacier in the Alps. The area is snow-sure from early December to mid-April. This ski paradise with 140 km of slopes has 35 lifts at an altitude of 1845 – 2869 meters spread over 3 mountains.
